Somatic Coaching Circles for Transitions

PURPOSE: To develop community, support and momentum around career transitions by combining the power of coaching, group support, the wisdom of body, and the clarity of the mind.

It's easy to get overwhelmed by anxiety and stress when you are trying to figure out a new career path. But you don't have to be swept away and paralyzed by this fear of uncertainty. Through the use of somatic practices and self-observations, develop deeper self-awareness and intuition so that you can approach your career transition with renewed possibility and clarity. By the end of the class, you will devise a personal mission/purpose statement to keep you focused, clear and inspired in your career transition.

By examining and integrating principles from Qigong, the works of Moshe Feldenkrais, Buddhism and Taoism, you will gain a somatic awareness that promotes clarity, potency and conviction. You will learn tools to help you stay calm, resilient and grounded so that you can think clearly and feel capable of doing whatever you want. The class will develop skills to help you accomplish your goals and derive greater meaning from life. You’ll also build a powerful community of other people in transition to support you in whatever you chose.

Topics of Exploration:

  • How to remain centered and grounded in the face of stress
  • Understand the link between your body, mood, emotions and thoughts
  • Stop the Chatter - Quieting the mind and allowing intuition to surface
  • Using all of Yourself - Allowing all of yourself to come to the table, while noticing what you leave behind or cut off
  • Using enhanced mental clarity and somatic awareness to connect with vision and values

Format:

  • Jointly devise a personalized coaching development plan
  • Learn the basics of Qigong and Feldenkrais to promote mental clarity and stability
  • Explore a new somatic topic each week, with supporting mind/body exercises, self-observations and homework
  • Develop a network of like-minded individuals dedicated to self-awareness and growth for community and support

  • 8 Two-hour Group Sessions
  • Class size: Min. 8 and Max. 12
  • A Personalized Intake and Development Plan
  • 2 Additional Personal Coaching Sessions
  • Additional Private Sessions for Class Participants $100/hour
